Caroline E Cross Science Communicator

Caroline E Cross BSc, PhD, MSc

I am fascinated by how our bodies have developed to protect us against disease, and how infectious agents have evolved to overcome these defences. After a decade working as a research scientist studying infectious diseases and immunology, and three years at the medical research charity the Wellcome Trust, I realised the best way to share my excitement for science was to become a professional science communicator. In 2003 I graduated from Imperial College, London with a Masters in Science Communication.I currently work as a freelance science writer and editor, based in Reading, Berkshire and am a member of the Association of British Science Writers (ABSW).
